There was a time when I felt incredibly uncomfortable selling.

I remember being on discovery calls with potential clients and feeling that subtle tension in my body the moment the conversation turned toward price. I would explain what I did, talk about how I could help… and then when it came time to actually make the offer, I’d soften my words, rush through the number, or leave the decision hanging in the air with a, "ok, just let me know...." Money killer.

I remember several years of doing entire hour long talks and workshops without offering my course or services because I felt like people would be like, "oh great, here comes the sales pitch!"

And afterwards I would think, why does this part feel so hard? Why do I always choke?

It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in the work I was doing. I cared deeply about helping people. I knew the transformation I offered was meaningful.

I realized something important: I had no clue how to master selling with confidence, no one had ever actually taught me how to sell ethically and with integrity!

Like most nutritionists and practitioners, I had been trained to serve, to educate, and to support people’s health. But the skill of confidently guiding someone through the decision to work with me? That was never part of the training.

When I began learning how sales conversations actually work- how to clearly position my work, how to talk about pricing without discomfort, and how to handle common objections without losing confidence- everything felt easier, lighter and actually fun!

My awkwardness finally ended and I started to enjoy it and it became easy!

When a sales conversation is done well, it doesn’t feel pushy or transactional. It feels like leadership. It feels like helping someone clearly see the path forward and decide whether it’s right for them.

And once that confidence is there, the entire experience of running a business changes.
