Last week, I ran a quick poll with my audience this week and asked a simple question:
“How would you rate your sales skills out of 10?”
I expected a mix of answers. Maybe a few 6s, some 7s, the occasional 8.
Instead, the overwhelming response was 2 out of 10. And on top of that, most women were aware of their current state, saying they knew they needed to improve.
Which tells me something really important! There’s a lot of incredible talent sitting inside this industry, women who are deeply knowledgeable, deeply caring, and genuinely capable of helping people transform their health and their lives-but the skill of selling has never been developed alongside the skill of helping.
And that gap matters more than most people realize.
No matter how powerful your program is, how thoughtful your framework is, or how much you care about the outcomes your clients achieve, your business will always be limited by your ability to confidently guide someone to a decision.
Sales is not some separate part of business that only shows up during a launch or on a discovery call.
It’s the connective tissue that holds everything else together.
Your marketing, messaging and offers improves when you understand sales.
Even your confidence as a business owner improves when you know you can sit in a conversation, ask the right questions, and help someone get clear about whether working with you is the right next step.
The beautiful part is this: sales mastery is a transferable skill.
Once you learn it properly once you understand how to lead a conversation, how to handle hesitation, how to create clarity without pressure that skill shows up everywhere.
In your content, consults, pricing AND how you position (and price) your work.
You don’t have to relearn it over and over again. You learn it once, and it strengthens every part of your business.
And based on that poll result… it’s clear we have some work to do, ladies.
